Careers: Summer Program

Cox, Castle & Nicholson LLP has a summer program for second-year law students that provides a challenging and realistic law firm experience. Our program gives students a chance to interact with associates and partners to gain an understanding of the firm's culture. We believe that our people, the quality of our work product, and our overall working environment truly distinguishes us from other top law firms.

A typical summer class ranges from three to six students. The smaller size fosters a very collegial, cooperative environment and enables us to give each student  individualized attention and training. Our summer clerks work on varied, interesting transactional and litigation projects, and receive prompt and constructive feed-back on their work.

We provide regular opportunities for students to directly observe court hearings, mediations, closings, depositions, client meetings, trials and other aspects of our practice. The education and training you will receive through in-house seminars and hands-on legal work are an invaluable learning experience.

Over the course of the summer, you will gain an understanding of the professional and personal advantages of practicing at our firm while giving us the chance to learn about your interests and talents. If you enter the summer with a particular interest (or develop one during the summer) we will make every effort to expose you to the varied aspects of that practice area and the attorneys and clients who work in the area.
